Updated: Aug 3

EOC and EOCx2 are both designed to eliminate urine odors, but they're not intended for every situation. Knowing when to use each product can improve your results while keeping your application process simple. Ryan explains how he chooses between the two products, the proper mixing ratio, and why following the recommended dwell time is key to successful urine odor elimination.

What Makes EOC Different?

PureForce Pro EOC (Enzyme Odor Counteractant) was developed to eliminate urine odors using a

laboratory-produced synthetic enzyme.

Unlike many enzyme products that rely on naturally occurring enzymes,PureForce Pro EOC's synthetic enzyme remains active across an extremely wide temperature range, from approximately 33°F to 296°F.

That means you don't have to worry about finding the "perfect" water temperature. Whether you're using cold or hot water, the enzyme remains active and continues working to eliminate odor-causing contamination.

Why Was EOCx2 Created?

PureForce Pro EOCx2 (Enzyme Odor Counteractant), used for eliminating strong odors such as urine.

After the success of PureForce Pro EOC, Ryan wanted a product for urine contamination that also included peroxide technology.

The result was PureForce Pro EOCx2.

PureForce Pro EOCx2 contains the same enzyme odor elimination formula as PureForce Pro EOC with the addition of peroxide, giving professional cleaners another option when dealing with more challenging urine contamination.

When Should You Use EOC vs. EOCx2?

EOC

EOCx2

Urine odor is present

Severe urine odor is present

No or little visible urine contamination

Heavy yellow discoloration is present

Odor elimination is primary goal

Added peroxide for severe odor areas

Follow the Recommended Mixing Ratio

For topical urine treatment, Ryan recommends using the same dilution ratio for both products.

  • Mix 4 parts water to 1 part product

  • Saturate the affected area thoroughly

  • Allow a 30-minute dwell time

Ryan specifically advises not increasing the concentration beyond the recommended 4:1 ratio.

Instead, allow the product enough time to work before extraction.

Why Dwell Time Matters

One of the biggest mistakes cleaners make is rushing the process.

According to Ryan, giving PureForce Pro EOC or EOCx2 a full 30-minute dwell time allows the chemistry to work as intended.

Proper dwell time often has a greater impact on performance than mixing the product stronger.

Proven in the Field

PureForce Pro EOC has been used successfully by professional cleaners for nearly a decade, while PureForce Pro EOCx2 has quickly become a favorite for severe urine restoration.

Together, the products are used on thousands of gallons of ready-to-use solution every month by professional cleaners across the United States and internationally.

Which Urine Odor Remover Product Is Right for Your Job?

A simple rule makes product selection easy:

  • Use PureForce Pro EOC when odor is the primary issue.

  • Use PureForce Pro EOCx2 when odor is combined with noticeable yellow urine staining.

Both products rely on the same high-performance enzyme technology, but EOCx2 provides additional stain-fighting power for the toughest urine restoration jobs.
